Keys in the Car , Nowhere to Turn
My mind raced like a feral cat, adrenaline pumping as I stared at the car door. The keys, those little bits of plastic, were safely inside, taunting me with their innocence. I had been so stupid as to leave them in the ignition. Now, here I was, stranded on a quiet cul-de-sac, feeling utterly trapped.
- Did I deserve this? I pondered as my frustration mounted.
- My phone was dead, of course.{ The irony was almost cruel.
